3rd Trimester

I am officially in my 3rd trimester!

We had a doctor's appointment last week that was pretty involved. We had an ultrasound, blood work, glucose test, and my Rh shot. J.P. unfortunately was not able to be there, so I made sure that we got a profile of our little man so he could see his son.

All of my tests came back good. They did see that there was some fluid build up in his kidneys, so we get to double check in 3-4 weeks. He is also still breech, so hopefully he turns before the next ultrasound.

I have still been feeling really good, but it seems that Jack likes to use my bladder as a chair so I am running to the bathroom more and more. My cravings for sweets have also increased, but I am trying to control it with eating more fruits. I also signed up for a water aerobics class that starts in mid February with my friends Lexi, Robin, and Natalie to hopefully keep me in shape.

The nursery is still a work in progress, but here is a sneak peak. It will hopefully be done in the next few weeks.

Babymoon

Every year, if J.P. meets his sales goals, we get a free trip. This year we were able to go to Turtle Bay Resort (where Forgetting Sarah Marshall was filmed) on the island of Oahu, Hawaii! We went there with 4 of J.P.'s co-workers and their wives/girlfriends.

Here are some pictures and highlights from the trip:

Our 2 favorite things that we got to do was swim in a waterfall and go to the Pearl Harbor Memorial. The waterfall was in a beautiful botanical garden and only took about 20 minutes to walk to. It was kind of cold, and I am sure baby Jack thought I was crazy getting into it, but it was totally worth it! I didn't stay in for very long, but how often do you get to swim in a waterfall?
At the Pearl Harbor museum, we learned a lot about that horrible day. Of all the ships that were bombed, only 3 ships were not able to be restored. The Arizona was one of the ships that sank on that day, and we were able to stand over it in the white building in the picture. Some of the ship was visible above the water and oil was still leaking from the ship. Many of the men that died that day still lay within the ship.
One thing I wanted to do while in Hawaii was to go to a luau. We found one not far from our hotel, so we decided to go. The food was great, and the entertainment was good.

The resort was huge, so one day we decided to take a walk to the "other" beach. We passed a WWII bunker, got to see the horses on the ranch, and the beach was gorgeous. Baby Jack even wanted to kiss a palm tree!

We made it a point to eat at as many local places as we could while we were there. One day we came across this gorgeous ranch and we decided to eat breakfast there. Before we ate, we decided to walk around. We soon found out that this was the place that Jurassic Park was filmed. It was so pretty!

This last picture is a view from our room and the beach that was closest to the resort. On the first full day that we were there, we rented snorkeling gear and we swam with a sea turtle! It was so peaceful watching him feed on the coral. We also got in a few games of sand volleyball, and I even played! It was fun to feel somewhat athletic again.

The day we went to Pearl Harbor, we took the long way around the island to get back to the resort. It only took about 3 hours to get back, and we were able to see some beautiful scenery. We were also able to stop in Wikiki to do some shopping.

It was a perfect trip to take before Baby Price gets here. I wish we could have spent another 4-5 days there! We are so lucky that J.P. works for a wonderful company at Fundraising University and it was great to get to know his coworkers and their wives/girlfriends better. I cannot wait to see where we get to go next year!
